What is Miracle League?
North Metro Miracle League Cherokee is an adapted baseball league which serves aspiring athletes that are not able to participate in typical programs because of a disability. We strive to not only play baseball but to teach, enrich, and enlighten the community we serve in as well as work to showcase the talents, drive, tenacity and love of life that our athletes embody.
With all of our volunteers, in addition to an amazing roster of athletic teams from across Cherokee County and other counties, we work with our athletes to teach them the fundamentals of baseball including fielding, batting and, of course sportsmanship and friendship.
On our purpose-built field, Freedom Field, our athletes can safely play baseball while their families and friends can sit in the stands and cheer them on!
We hold three sets of games each Saturday for six weeks in the Spring and Fall (weather allowing), and we always schedule two make-up dates in case we are rained out or other issues arise that may prevent us from playing or completing our normal games.
We are an entirely volunteer driven organization and we are always in search of “buddies” that can come out and help make our dreams of having a full slate of games each Saturday possible. For more information you can reach out to [email protected] or come out and visit us during one of our games!

Where do you play your games?
Our games are played at Freedom Field at Patriots Park which is located at 1485 Kellogg Creek Road, Acworth, GA 30102.
When do you play your games and what times do your games occur?
All of our games are played on a Saturday during 6 weeks in the Spring and 6 weeks in the fall. Each Saturday there are 3 games played.
Game 1 occurs at 9:45 am, Game 2 occurs at 11am and Game 3 occurs at 12:15pm.
How old do volunteer buddies need to be?
In general, we like for our volunteer buddies to be at least 10 years old, however, in the event that you may have some younger buddies that really want to play, please send an email to [email protected] and we can figure something out.
What do we need to bring as a volunteer buddy?
All you really need to bring is a love of baseball and, possibly, a mitt to catch with!

Volunteer Buddies should have two forms to fill out. A buddy form and release form. Both can be found on this page:
Is parking available at the field?
Yes, we have a large parking lot adjacent to the field, however during baseball season there are other teams playing at other fields in the park and parking *might* be limited. There is handicap parking but, again, those spaces are limited and might be occupied by either our attendees or other park attendees.
