Fall 2025 Game 2

Good afternoon, everyone!

Tomorrow is, much to my dismay, looking like a very warm day. Unfortunately, with only a single make-up game this season, I was holding out that we use that if/when inclement weather affected our games.

The temps look like they will be getting very warm right around the beginning of our second game. In most cases we really try to limit our games once the temps go above 80. I also want to ensure that we try to get at least 5 games in this season and, while they are never very accurate this far out, the initial forecast for next Saturday is showing some potential for rain and, thankfully, lower temperatures.

We are going to, at this time, try and have our games tomorrow but should the temperature rise too quickly we will consider cancellation and giving our Game 2 families and Game 3 families ample time so they do not have to head out and then head right back home.

To be frank it’s a delicate balancing act and we always need to keep the health and safety of our players at the forefront of everything we do. However, we know that so many of our players enjoy and look forward to being out on the field so please keep an eye here on Facebook, on your phones for an SMS message and in your emails just to ensure that you are alerted if the games are cancelled due to excessive heat.

We will have a large amount of ice water on hand again like we did last week but Mother Nature may be stoking the heat of one last gasp of summer before the fall temps settle in.

Alternatively, you can also text me at 770 510 9302 and I will try to respond ASAP but please remember that I will be deeply involved in Game 1 and unable to respond immediately.

I’d love the input of our families, volunteers, friends and followers. To say that I agonize over these decisions may be a bit over the top but please know that I do not take making these decisions lightly!

We (hopefully) will see everyone tomorrow!
