Good morning NMML Cherokee Family!
Our Fall 2025 schedule is finalized!
We will be playing our opening game on September 13th, 2025 and the schedule is as follows:
Opening Day – Game 1 – September 13th
Game 2 – September 20th
Game 3 – September 27th
Game 4 – October 4th
Game 5 – October 11th
Game 6 – October 18th
Make Up Game 1 – October 25th
Due to a confluence of factors, we are only able to schedule 1 make-up game this season.
Additionally, we are also making one minor change to our scheduling for this season:
Game 1 will begin at our regular time of 9:45am and last for one hour
Game 2 will begin at our regular time of 11:00am and last for one and a half hours
Game 3 will begin now at 12:45 and last for one hour.
During last season, we had a number of players from Game 1 move up to Game 2 and several new Game 2 participants. During Game 2 we noticed that we were, on average, getting in only 2 innings of gameplay whereas we normally like to try to get a minimum of three innings of gameplay. Game 1 and Game 3 did not have these same challenges so, for this season, we are adjusting the timeframe of Game 2 to accommodate the larger number of players and to ensure that all of our athletes get the full amount of game time we strive to give all of our athletes. We will evaluate how this works this season to determine if we continue this schedule moving forward.
