Week 4 Games Status

Good evening, everyone!

Apologies for the later email, I just got back from Austin, TX!

Tomorrow is looking like another weekend with an abundance of sunshine, however, the quick rise in temps is always a cause for concern for us as we have mentioned previously.

We will closely monitor the temperature, humidity and the well-being of our athletes and buddies.  If we quickly eclipse the 80-degree mark and get closer to 85 degrees, we may end up calling the remaining games to ensure that our athletes and volunteers are safe and not exposed to high temperatures and extremely humid conditions for very long.

We never like canceling any games, however, we do not like to see our athletes, buddies or long-term volunteers’ safety and well-being put at risk even more than we hate canceling.

If we do need to call the games as the temperatures rise, please know that the decision to do so is not taken lightly and remember that our primary goal out on the field is safety.

As always, if there are any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me and I would be happy to discuss these items with anyone.

If we need to cancel, we will post on FB, send out an email and announce it on our SMS/texting system as well, so please keep an eye on FB, here on your email inboxes and on your phones messaging app for updated information tomorrow during the day.

As always, we appreciate your support of our program and, even more so, appreciate your support of our decisions regarding the health and safety of our athletes and volunteers.

We look forward to seeing everyone on the field!
